AIIMS BSc Nursing 2021 exam for BSc (Hons) Nursing has been postponed again for the second time. In its recent notice, AIIMS has announced the national level entrance exam has been postponed in the wake of COVID 19 second wave until further notice. The BSc (Post-Basic) Nursing exam was concluded on June 27, 2021. Previously, the national level exam was set to take place on June 14.

Basic registration for AIIMS BSc Nursing 2021 via PAAR is currently closed, although applicants might still register online till April 6, 2021. Candidates had to go to the AIIMS exam's official website, https://www.aiimsexams.ac.in/, and complete a basic registration process. Those interested in pursuing a BSc (Hons.) Nursing or a BSc (Post-Basic) Nursing degree should first register on the AIIMS examinations' official website. On April 27, 2021, AIIMS released the prospectus and opened the final registration window, and can provide the code for the same. The last day to register was May 25, 2021. Candidates who have been accepted for Basic Registration are the only ones who can generate the code for final registration. The conducting body has postponed the entrance exam for BSc (Hons) Nursing and had conducted the entrance test for BSc (Post-Basic) Nursing on June 27, 2021. The result for the same has been announced on June 30. The shortlisted candidates are required to appear for Interview and Personal Assessment through video conferencing mode (online mode) on July 15 & 16, 2021.

AIIMS 2021 Nursing Application Fee

The first stage of AIIMS Nursing 2021 registration is the basic registration stage has no application fee. The final registration stage requires the candidate to pay a sum of non-refundable and non-transferable amount. Below is the category wise application fee:

AIIMS Nursing 2021 BSc Eligibility

The examination division of AIIMS, New Delhi, has established certain qualifying requirements for those who desire to apply for AIIMS Nursing 2021 to pursue the BSc programme. The following are the AIIMS Nursing 2021 eligibility criteria for different undergraduate programmes:

AIIMS Nursing for BSc (Hons) Eligibility

  • Candidates should have cleared class 12 exams or an equivalent exam from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English subjects.
  • Candidates of the general category should have secured a minimum of 55 per cent in aggregate in class 12 and SC/ST category candidates should have secured 50 per cent in aggregate

AIIMS BSc Paramedical Eligibility

  • Candidates should have passed the class or an equivalent exam from a recognized board/university having Physics, Chemistry, English and either Biology or Maths subjects
  • Candidates from the General/EWS/OBC category should have secured a minimum of 50 per cent in aggregate in class 12 and SC/ST category candidates should have secured 45 per cent in aggregate

AIINS Nursing for BSc (Post-Basic) Eligibility

  • Candidates should have passed class 12 or an equivalent exam from a recognized board/university having Physics, Chemistry, English and either Biology or Maths subjects. However, candidates who have qualified for class 11 on or before 1987 can also apply.
  • Candidates possessing a Diploma in GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) from any Indian Nursing Council recognized institution.
  • Candidates must have registered themselves as a nurse or as a midwife with the State Nursing Council. While in the case of male nurses, besides being a registered nurses, they should have six-month training in any of the mentioned subjects is mandatory.

Stage 2: Personal Interview/Assessment scheme

Candidates who will be able to make it to the merit list based on the written exam will be called for the personal interview/assessment round. The second stage will have a weightage of 30 marks. The final merit list will decide the fate of the candidate based on their performance in both stages. Almost three times more candidates will be invited for the interview than the actual number of available seats. The assessment process will count the following criteria:

  • Past academic record in the Higher Secondary or class 12 or equivalent examination
  • Past academic record in the Nursing examination
  • Performance as a Staff Nurse
