Chemical Engineering Courses are the ones which can make a person’s career in Chemical Engineering, possible. Chemical Engineering is that branch of engineering which is involved in the design and maintenance of chemical plants and the development of chemical processes for converting raw materials or chemicals into valuable forms to enable large-scale manufacture. It combines knowledge of chemistry, physics, biology, microbiology, biochemistry, mathematics along with Engineering for the production of chemicals and it's by products. Chemical engineering is applied in the manufacture of a wide variety of products which include inorganic and organic industrial chemicals, ceramics, fuels and petrochemicals, agrochemicals (fertilizers, insecticides, herbicides), plastics and elastomers, oleochemicals, explosives, detergents and detergent products (soap, shampoo, cleaning fluids), fragrances and flavours, additives, dietary supplements and pharmaceuticals. A person employed in this field is called a Chemical Engineer. Chemical engineers generally design processes to ensure the most economical operation. But the work of Chemical Engineers is the most versatile of all engineers, which involves the invention, development, design, operation and management of processes in industries. Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers (IIChE) is the apex professional body of chemical engineering professionals in India. The Institute is recognized by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organization. IIChE conducts the Associate Membership Examination, is meant for those working in the chemical engineering related professions, who have a diploma in engineering or a degree in science but lack a degree in chemical engineering. This examination offers them the opportunity to qualify as chemical engineers. The Government of India and most of the public and private sector undertakings recognize it for the purpose of recruitment to superior posts and services, for which a degree in chemical engineering is considered to be a qualification. Leading universities and institutes in the country recognizes it for admission to M. Tech. courses.
