- The skills that philosophy teaches students will always be in high demand: the ability to think and write clearly, the ability to bring to light unnoticed presuppositions, to explain complex ideas clearly, to tease out connections and implications, to see things in a broader context, to challenge orthodoxy
- The secondary field of Philosophy is designed to offer students both a general introduction to philosophical skills and a more focused exploration of some particular domain of philosophy

- Student must have passed high school
TOEFL
TOEFL is accepted but exact exam score is not published by the college.
- Not mandatory, but students can submit the scores if they have given the exam
SAT
SAT is accepted but exact exam score is not published by the college.
- Standardized test scores from either the SAT or ACT (with Writing) and normally two SAT subject tests are required
- SAT II English Language Proficiency Test (ELPT) is not acceptable as one of the two SAT Subject Tests
