B.E. Mechanical Engineering or Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering is an undergraduate Mechanical Engineering course. The time period of the course is four years and the course deals with the study of mechanics, statics, kinematics, thermodynamics, materials science, and structural analysis used in designing, development, construction, production, installation, operation and maintenance of tools, machines and various other mechanical equipment such as automobiles, trucks, airplanes, trains, space vehicles, lathes, milling machines, grinders, large steam and gas turbines, components of thermal power stations, internal combustion engines, jet engines, air conditioning and heating machines, refrigerators etc. In short, this degree course mainly focuses on the study of application of the principles of mechanics and energy to the design of machines and devices.
